Deleting Contacts Who Are Offline?

I realize how to delete a contact if they are online, you can just command click on it and click delete. However, what if they are not online, and never come online anymore and you'd like to remove them from your list? I'm assuming this is obvoius, but for me it isn't

view>show offline contacts
