two screen names

i have a new screen name
and what i would like to do is set an away message for my old one that says something like "new screen name is blablhablh, reach me there."
however, i have no idea how to use both buddy lists at the same time.
and also, how do i import my old buddy list?

this is driving me crazy. please help!

Just set up both screen names in Adium, and sign onto both of them. Then, go to Status menu --> [your old sn] --> Custom... or whatever away you want to set for that screen name.

You can export and import buddy lists using the official AIM client (I assume you're using AIM accounts); look on the File menu. Adium can't do any buddy list importing/exporting yet.

When you're signed onto multiple accounts, if you start a new IM conversation with someone, you can choose (at the top of the message window) which account to send from.
