message style

please forgive me if this has already been answered, but its late at night and im not able to find it.

okay....so message styles are only applied to the background and text? am I right...see i have a dark buddy list so it doesnt burn my eyes, but then the message window is bright and white, is there anyway at all to change this?

If you mean the white part where you type in text, yeah, sadly, i can't figure out a way to change it, either
