signing off randomly

anyone know, it seems like if i am away from the computer for a few hours with my status set to away, when i come back to the computer i find that my status is still set to away, but my contact list doesn't appear, and i have to sign off, then sign back on to "availible" to get it back. anybody know what this is?

thanks! too bad that doesnt tell me what i can do about it, but at least its not something wrong on my end

Right, because you can't do anything about it. You can just sign off and on until your list returns.

It's an AIM server problem - you will find this happens, sometimes, on the official client as well.
