Getting rid of those little insert arrows in Minimal theme

Can someone inform me of what I would need to change in the message style input/output html in order to get rid of these little arrows:

you could try the minimal_mod style http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=x ... ra_id=1576 (yes, that was shameless self-promotion), which i made out of the minimal style, partially in order to get rid of those little arrows.

or if you really just want minimal with no arrows, i just whipped this up:
