Growl/Adium

Post by keenan1512 »

I was wondering, that with all default settings applied, if it was possible to click the Growl Notification in Adium(ex.freddy1627 went away) and have it say the persons away message, or have it take you right to the persons profile.

I'll try to explain clicking and Growl:

When you click a notification in Growl, if the application requested a "clickback", then it is told you the user clicked it, and can do whatever it wants with that application.

That said, this is more of a request for Adium.

apparently adium has removed all response to clickbacks...it used to open a message window to the concerned contact, but now it does absolutely nothing (doesn't even bring adium to the front!)

Look in Growl prefs, be sure that the click checkbox is checked for Adium

My problem is that when I click on an Adium Growl notification (like XYZ user has signed off) to make it go away, Adium pops up an IM window for XYZ user regardless of what the notification was for.

How can I get this to NOT happen? It sounds like it already shouldn't, but it does. I have the latest versions of both Growl and Adium, so I am thoroughly puzzled to learn that it shouldn't be doing this at all.

Any advice would be appreciated--thanks in advance!!

I think I'm having the opposite problem: with all apps' "Click" checkbox checked, nothing happens when a Growl notification comes up. Tried both Bezel and Brushed (the outline shines on mouseover of Brushed, but clicking just makes the notification go away).

?
Thanks!

Does that happen with Adium? Because most programs, from what I've seen, do nothing when you click their notification.
