Jabber / Google talk and the contact image

Hi,
does Jabber support the contact images?

I have just logged in with Google talk (Jabber protocol) and when I chat with another contact I cannot see his image in the message window.

I use Adium X 0.82.

Is this a Google problem, a Jabber problem or a bug of Gaim libs?

Google Talk on PC doesn't currently support contact images, so I am going to say this is the reason it won't work right now. The main google talk thread is Here

Jabber doesn’t have it in the first place. Google Talk should be referenced as Jabber whenever referenced to with Jabber, and Jabber discussions should now include Google Talk. This is not a Google Talk problem.

Actually, I believe that iChat added to the spec to allow them. And for some reason I thought that Gaim had adopted that part of the spec and that Adium therefore would do them with supported clients. Could someone try Adium<-->Adium and iChat<-->Adium and see if it works?

Going iChat <--> Adium .84, both running on the same computer, I'm not seeing any contact images. (One account on jabber.org, the other on myjabber.net.)
