Hi!
Maybe there is a possibility but maybe not (I'm new to Mac and very new to the very GREAT tool Growl):
Is there a feature (or a feature-request), where Growl detects URLs in the message body and converts them to a klickable URL where my preferred browser starts?
Background:
I am using a linux-server and as a very nice client my mini. On the Linux-computer, I am running the tool 'screen' to be able to have multiple terminal sessions in one session.
Anyway.
In screen, I have included a tool, that extracts every URL (like http://www.something.com or http://www.project.org) and sends it to my wrapperscript called 'url_handler.sh'.
This url_handler.sh opened up my Opera with a new tab with the chosen URL.
Now I want to change my url_handler.sh to send a Growl-message with the URL.
But in Growl, I'd have to copy and paste it to my browser. I think this would be a cool feature, when I could enable Growl to detect those URLs by itself in order to spare this copy&paste-step.
Any opinions on that?
Make URLs klickable
Perfect. I am waiting in vain :-)The_Tick wrote:http://trac.growl.info/trac/ticket/226
