Here's how it happens. Synergy does not display a brand-new floater for each song change. Rather, it changes the one that's currently being displayed. If a song has no album associated with it, for example, the floater has only 2 lines of text. But when I switch to a song that does have an album, the floater gains an extra line and grows upward instead of downward, like it should.
