Networking notifications displaying endlessly

Post by oculos »

Hi there folks!

I have two macs on my network. I enabled network notification on Growl. I've got the newest version installed.

It happened mostly with adium: the notifications shown by growl are forwarded to the other computer, which forwards it backs, filling the screen with the same notification all over, endlessly.

Any clue on how to fix it?

Ya, you're forwarding on a loop. It'll be fixed in .8. For now, just don't forward network notifications

When I was first setting up network growl notifications, it was really picky and making me set both to forward before it would forward anything.

After, basically, turning it on and off enough times, it finally decided to forward messages when the client computer wasn't also set to forward, and now it works nicely.
