aim:gochat links crashing Adium?

Post by cybergoober »

Anyone else seeing this? Links such as:

aim:gochat?service=AIM&roomname=tiger

will crash Adium every time without fail. I have many chat rooms bookmarked like this for easy access through Quicksilver.

Can anyone else confirm or deny?

P.S. - I did a quick search and didn't find anything recent, and in the change logs it looks like an issue that had been resolved in .83

I believe it's due to http AIM links being assigned to Adium rather than iChat by default.

Well, Adium seems to take over the aim: protocol once you launch Adium for the first time. I've had to download More Internet to change it back to iChat temporarily.

Can we please keep threads to one topic please? Telling people that you cannot unset the default will either cause the original posters problem not to be dealt with, or your issue not to be dealt with, either way probably causing one of you to anger.

it was resolved around .83, came back somewhere later in .8x, and has been (re)fixed for the upcoming 1.0 :)
