Right/Ctrl click "Search in Google" opens in Safar

Post by melon »

When you select and highlight something in the message window then right/ctrl click and "Search in Google" in the context menu, this always opens Safari despite having set my default system browser in Safari as Firefox.

Is there anyway to (easily) modify Adium inorder for it to use my default browser instead?

Thank you.

Nope. You're actually using Safari, effectively, with every Adium message window... that menu item is provided by WebKit.
The duck still burns.

wouldn't it be possible then to have that google feature actually open the website/search in a new tab in adium? :P

actually it sounds quite useless and quite far away from the real meaning of adium. but it would be funny and also fun to show off to have minor browser in adium :P

It'd certainly be technically possible. Won't be implemented, but it'd be possible.
