Eit: I actually installed the package this time...I then do the commands to enable bundles etc and nothing happens. I have restarted both growl and mail with no success. When I opened mail it said that the plugin was installed, but I cannot find it in either mail or growl preferences and it's not showing any notifications.

Not working fix

Had the same problem, tried reinstalling, no joy.

Finally got it going this way.

First, uninstall growl using the unistaller script in the disc image
Quit mail

Spotlight "growl" and delete every reference to it.

Reinstall from most up to date download

Restart mail

Goto the preferences, growl
Enable growl

That worked for me.....

remember my Safari issue ?
I think I found someting interesting : after the latest security update Safari version changed and my Saft was disabled. then GrowlSafari worked again ! but after having installed Saft newest update, it just stopped working...
