It's kinda off topic a little, but I use Jabber's Transports services when I am not at my mac. I used my Gmail account (jabber) to subscribe to an MSN transport, an AIM transport, and a YAHOO transport. So now when I am not at my mac, I just check my Gmail, and all my MSN contacts are located in my Quick Contacts section to the left of my emails. Here is a link (even though it is quick simple to implement).

It is not feature rich, but it does the trick when it comes to chatting away from my mac.
