yahoo login trouble

I'm sorry, I'm fairly new to Adium and could not find this topic in the tickets so I thought I'd ask here.

Suddenly I get an error saying that my yahoo account is locked and I must log in. I've logged in several times, restarted Adium, updated to the latest version and tried new prefs - still the same error.

The only thing I've changed since my last successful login is the deletion of the yahoo messenger. I didn't think I needed yahoo and msn messengers on my HD since I am loving this little app, but maybe that was wrong? MSN is working fine tho.

I'm hoping to fix this as most of my contacts are on yahoo or msn.

You definitely don't need to have any other client installed to use Adium.

Could you post a screen shot of the actual error message? I'm not familiar with an error that sounds like that.

I should have thought to grab a screenshot, but I'm sorry I didn't. But I walked away from the computer for a bit (shutting adium down) and upon returning it seems to be fine. I'm at a loss as to why, but happy all the same. Maybe I posted to the forum too quickly and will try to be more patient next time.

If it happens again, I'll be sure to snap a pic of the error message.

I'm glad to have confirmation that I don't need the other messengers installed tho.

My guess is Yahoo's servers were just being whiney.

Meh only explanations is to get rid of it. Yahoo = BAD!
