I've got two seperate installs of AdiumX, one on my home computer and one on my work computer. Both are setup with the same accounts and I've been using both for a while. What I want to do is merge their logs together so that I end up with one complete set of logs. The trouble is that in some cases I've talked to the same user on the same day both at home and at work, so I'm not too sure about how I can get all the logs together properly.
Any ideas?
Merge AdiumX Logs
In the future, you could try making a Portable Adium (http://trac.adiumx.com/wiki/PortableAdium).
As far as merging, I would probably just go in and do it by hand, dragging things into the right paces. the file hierarcy there is pretty straightforward.

Thanks for the portable adium thing. Helps me put it over a network (i use adium between two comps at home). With regards to hand merging the logs, is it possible for someone to write a program that can do it automatically? It's quite alot of work to open log files, copy paste the entries and repeat for maybe hundreds of files... and u're bound to make mistakes too.
I'm sure it isn't too hard to have the program look for time stamps in the logs and copy-paste/interleave the entries together properly in chronological order, but i don't do programming beyond really simple applescripts and some html so i'm in no position to make an assumption on that.
Just some qustions tho, would the location thing work for the pref files in the pref folder? or only for the adium 2.0 folder under app support? And y can't adium just accept aliases?

This Trac article explains it better than I ever could, though I'm not sure how current it is now.
