Adium Buddy Icons?

If i add a .gif file to make it my buddy icon, it doesnt seem to animate. Any ideas? Or is this just not going to happen or work?

You cannot (currently) set an animated buddy icon within Adium. However, if you set the animated buddy icon in the official AIM client, and leave the buddy icon box empty within Adium, your friends will see the animated buddy icon.

The only thing is that in your message view, it will show you not sending one out, which it really isn't, since it's using the server side icon. But don't fret, just ask a friend what your icon is to confirm it works.

Noted, listed, in consideration. [surprise, it's a popular request]

It's no small task - either use Apple's Image Picker like now (which doesn't support animated icons) or roll our own, which means re-creating the Apple Image Picker.

or the ever popular "pretty pleassseee" to Apple which, although as unfortunate as it is for me to say it, never does much.

And thank you for all your hard work. I have yet to find a better program.
