general itunes script question....

Post by Funkfish »

so yeah, I've goofed around with the whole current itunes track script in my away message, its pretty cool but what I would like to do is this.

"Lounging around the apartment call if you want.

[current itunes track optimisic - radiohead] "

or somthing simlar.

basically I wanna say a message, and have the itunes track be after what I say. however everytime I try to put a script in.

like
/music
/itunes
/iTunes
or
%_nowplaying

if I put those after a message it just looks like

"lounging around the apartment call if you want
/music"

so is there a way I can do what i wanna do?

thanks in advance

ummm that doesn't work,

when I put a message infront of a script, it just shows the script syntax.

like /music

"Out and about call me,

/music"

I want it to say

"Out and about call me,

[Current iTunes track Karma Police - Radiohead]"

I can get it to say

"[Current iTunes track Karma Police - Radiohead]"

but I can't put a message infron of it.

is this even possible??

"[Current iTunes track %_track - %_artist]"

[mod edit: please don't insult people, particularly *volunteer* developers]

if I put text in the same away message as a script, the script doesn't work!!

heres what hes saying in simpler form(because everyone is just repeating themselves and clearly neither of you are catching on)

funkfish wants to put some text before his itunes script BUT when he does the itunes script stops working

scripts starting with '/' only work at the beginning of a message.
The duck still burns.

Which is *exactly* why I've said about 3 times to use the %_variables.

Yup.

I dislike some scripts randomly "not working" because of this distinction... dunno what to do about it though.
