AIM problems

Post by Spartan »

I was away in Adium and had two accounts connected to AIM and one account connected to GTalk. After a while, when I tried to change my status to Available, I noticed that the AIM accounts did not update this info. I had been disconnected, which is not that uncommon for me (router 'issues'), but the funny thing is my GTalk account was never disconnected. Anyways, so I tried to relaunch Adium, but got a gaim error when the two AIM accounts tried to connect. This is rare with Adium, but it especially surprised me since I am not trying out the beta. I have been using .86 since the day it was released with no problems. I opened iChat out of curiosity to see if the problem was Adium-specific and I received another error message stating...

"Could not connect to AIM

The host refused the connection, try again later."

Why is my connection being blocked? I was just sitting on AIM while away, not chatting with anyone. I leave Adium open 24/7, so I am always connected to AIM. This has never happened to me before so I am curious as to what the cause is. Thanks for any help.

AIM was/is down for a massive amount of people, should be back any time now, if you're still having problems.
