Yes...we are but mere peasants (hm...how about every "normal" poster gets the title of "A Mere Peasant"?Githon wrote:I'd ask for a title of "Poster of no importance", but since I am a poster of no importance, I wouldn't get a title.
And thus, the circle is complete.
Haha well actually I started it really, and I have no custom title. And I'm certainly not a devda_baum wrote:Yes...we are but mere peasants (hm...how about every "normal" poster gets the title of "A Mere Peasant"?Githon wrote:I'd ask for a title of "Poster of no importance", but since I am a poster of no importance, I wouldn't get a title.

This is our decision, to live fast and die young.
I'm don't agree. Look at Blizzard downloader for example. It works quiet good even for non-geeks.The_Tick wrote:Torrents are really hard for people to grasp. We'd offer the download, and they'd wonder how to use it. It's really geeky, and nobody explains it well enough for nongeeks to understand it
at least, imho

Indeed I do want Growl dev instead of Forum mod.The_Tick wrote:If you want that instead of forum mod, let me know.zaudragon wrote:By the way, when do I get my “Growl dev” title?The_Tick wrote: People with custom titles get attacked by users on the forums sometimes.
That reminds me… I should develop a little
Two steps to using a torrent:Edouard wrote:I'm don't agree. Look at Blizz downloader for example. It works quiet good even for non-geeks.The_Tick wrote:Torrents are really hard for people to grasp. 1.) Get said torrent.
2.) Get a client
OPTIONAL:
3.) Open torrent.
This is still geeky, I agree with tick. Most people are too dumb for this and i dont think the devs [or anyone] can be bothered to explain how bittorrent works to the probably hundreds (out of all the downloads adium gets) of people who dont get it.snarfer wrote:Two steps to using a torrent:Edouard wrote:I'm don't agree. 4) WHY IS IT SO SLOW?!snarfer wrote:Two steps to using a torrent:Edouard wrote:I'm don't agree. Look at Blizz downloader for example. 5) Google for WHY IS IT SO SLOW?!
6) Go to router login
7) Oops, forgot router admin password
8) Call linksys support
9) Map ports
10) Oops, client changed ips in the dhcp table
11) Remap it
12) Oh, now it's going faster. 3 days later.
Seriously

Added some custom titles based on how many times you have posted. And this post should end the off topicness of this thread, make a new one if you want to in the chat away section about this.
Torrents are blocked on campus for me. Do you have any idea how much I've tried, and that I can't get past their blocks? They're very good. They are very, very good. The only way I can see getting through it is an SSH tunnel which I am: 1) too lazy to do, 2) not interested in bothering with, 3) unable to see a normal user.snarfer wrote:Two steps to using a torrent:

It's never that simple.
