Changing Laguage/ Message box Problem

Post by kebunkun »

I'm using my dads laptop which uses a chinese system. Everytime I open adium, everything turns chinese. The menu bar where it says Apple, File, Edit, View. I am not able to change any of my adium settings as I cannot read the chinese. How how HOW?! do I change it all to english? With firefox, I just had to download the english version. Everything works fine and in english for firefox. But adium doesnt have that secondary language download.

I tried looking for the language setting in adium to change it. I found it but there were no languages to choose from.

Much help needed please! And yes I am using the latest version of Adium

Also, the message box is faulty. Nicknames, (other peoples including my own) if too long, cover up text. Bah need some help please.

Go into system preferences, and look for International (this is in English, but it looks like a flag in the application), and select the language.

Don’t listen to him. That’s the bad way (do you want your father going “??? MY COMPUTER IS IN ENGLISH!!”?) The proper way is to get info on Adium, expand the Language section, and deselect everything except English.

Unless your dad plans on using Adium in Chinese - plus, he's going to have to do this for every app which has a Chinese translation.

It's easy to change the language ordering and change it back later
