What is the difference in the Adium Create Account window? I know AIM supports @mac.com usernames (I think), so isn't a .Mac account the same thing as an AIM account? Why separate the two? Also, can the .Mac account support checking @mac.com email? Thanks!
We used to get all kinds of people asking about this because they didn't understand that AIM and .Mac are really the same thing for IM accounts... so we split off the .Mac account, and you can use whatever you want.
The .Mac service has a different icon and name but is otherwise identical to the AIM service.
