Custom buddy icons for people

well i had to sign on ichat to send a folder to someone and i noticed their buddy icon changed to their OSX system icon, now when i signed back on aim that icon stayed. is there a way to get that users default icon back or give them my own for my own viewing purposes?

Get info on the contact, and double click on the icon in their info window. You can set your own icon for them that way

is there an easy way to remove a custom icon that you have added this way (if you don't want to add a new one, but just want to go back to having no icon)? clicking in the box and hitting delete doesn't do it..... the only way i found involved deleting the contacts' preference files.

just clicking and hitting delete doesn't work for me either ... I can only override it with an other picture
