merge Logs acording to merged contacts?

when looking for a conversation I had with someone, it gets really frustrating finding it if this person uses 2 or more services, because although the contact list will merge the 2 buddies in to 1, Log viewer will not. Can it?

This is not currently supported by the Log Viewer.

I actually have another question about a related topic to this. In the log viewer, there is the choice for the sidebar to display either contacts or accounts. What seems to be lacking though is support for meta contacts to be listed under the contacts option. The contacts are currently listed in alphabetical order according to the screen name of them. But it seems silly that if someone I know has three screen names, and I have combined that person on my contact list as a meta contact, to seperate those logs by however they fit in via alphabetical order. I don't need these logs to be merged, but what makes sense to me is for a folder type appearance to be available for one listing of a meta contact. Just clicking on the contact would lead to the appearance of all the logs for every account linked to the meta contact. And then maybe the option to expand the meta contact and view each individual account if there is a need for more specificity when browsing the logs. Is there any chance for something like this to be implemented in future versions of the Adium log viewer? I hope this makes sense, I think I have described it as best I can.

The Log Viewer is scheduled for revision. Exact changes would likely be found by rooting around in http://trac.adiumx.com/

FYI: IIRC metacontacts were undergoing development at the time I added the drawer to the Log Viewer and the functionality is fundamentally unchanged.
