Modifying the Eclipse message style

Post by solidsnake »

I am trying to add some camo variety to the Eclipse message style. So far I have the required images:

Sky camo
Image

Japanese Self Defense Force camo
Image

City camo
Image

US AS camo
Image

But farther than that, I am not sure how to incorporate these into the message style. So far, I have added these images to the .AdiumMessageStyle package in the correct folder, and also copied and renamed the .css variant files in the package as well. Unfortunately the variants do not show as options in the Adium preference pane, which leads me to believe that adding variants to existing message styles is a bit more involved (duh).

Can anyone steer me in the right direction? I am assuming that I do not need to modify any of the other css files or the plist. I am comfortable doing either however. Thanks

I assume its not enough to just go into preferences and change the background image to a custom one of your choice? You'd like the colors of the transparency changed too?

That would be ideal, yes.
