Font color

Post by Larrythegerman »

Ok, so I am pretty new to adium, but already love it. the only thing that bugs me is that I cant (or dont know how to) change the color the other person is writing in to something bright, since I like to read bright letter on relatively dark backgrounds.
Thanks for any suggestions
Larry

so you want to change the appearance of your friend's font?
go to the prefrences and in the messages pane, play around with the options near "text display". i dont actually use these myself so im not sure if im telling you the right imformation. o and also i dont think all message styles support changing of fonts. hope it helps

first of all thanks, wow, faster reply than I thought. I mean, its not that I tried, but changin the color, or any color, there doesnt do much. I'm working on the see thru appearance so that standart "mid gray" is kinda hard to read on just about anything....well I guess that its a little ot the darker side so a light background would do......but I was jsut wondering. maybe all will change with version .88...here we go.....

Like stated before, certain message styles don't support full background colors (most, in fact). Some that I know of that do support background colors that I would recommend are Candybars, Minimal, and I think iChadiumMod does as well. Just do a search on xtras, they should turn up.
