Ctrl click on the Adium application icon go to "Show Package Contents" then Contents/Resources/Service Icons/Gaim.AdiumServiceIcons replace msn.png and msn-small.png with whatever you want. msn.png should be 48x48px and msn-small 16x16px. I've been using these pictures for MSN.
Do not use the Microsoft Corporate logo, Windows logo, or any other Microsoft logos, symbols, or icons on or in connection with products, packaging, manuals, promotional/advertising materials, or Web site for any purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from Microsoft.
But you have to admit it looks much much better with the actual logo. You might be able to use it if you email them and ask if you can use it if you are representing microsofts services with its use.

Right. Because they are going to license competition for their servicemarks. MS is very open about that type of thing. Care to name any licensees? [especially on the Mac platform, as 3 or 4 clients support it at least]
Ok, I think we all get the fact [after 2 or 3 threads about it] you don't like the logo in Adium and want the 'real' logo. That, however, doesn't change basic business practice.
Another note: Stuffit's people wouldn't give us a license to use their product, I HIGHLY doubt MS is going to give us carte blanche with their trademarked logo.

How would u know which is msn and which is yahoo and so on?
I'm saying that there would be a unique Adiumy for each service. It would have enough of a reference to the original icon to know what service it's for.
Yazan wrote:Yeah would probably work, but youd have to be up to date on what it looks like everytime you change the adiumy.
That's not what's being suggested.
The suggestion is to create a specific duck that looks like AIM's walking dude, MSN's "penguin on crack", etc. The point isn't to dynamically match the currently set Dock icon.
