best way to create dock icons
I was trying to make a dock Icon and for some reason, whenever you have it magnnify the icon, it makes it look really pixelated, even though the image itself is 200x200 and in PNG uncompressed with alpha transparency. is there a guide on how to do these?

Are you trying to make an adiumy, or just a regular OsX Hi-Res icon?JiveMasterT wrote:I was trying to make a dock Icon and for some reason, whenever you have it magnnify the icon, it makes it look really pixelated, even though the image itself is 200x200 and in PNG uncompressed with alpha transparency. is there a guide on how to do these?
The icons are 128x128 - there's no way to display them in the dock or in the finder any larger than that.
The problem I think this person is having is that they are saving the file at the wrong resolution - make sure the resolution is 72. I had this problem before and making sure the resolution was at this number removed my problems.

Technically speaking, Tiger supports icon resolutions up to 256 x 256, though you cannot visibly set it this high or view it in any applications.
