How can I disable Send Now/Send Later requester?

Post by stevekelley »

I'm annoyed by Send Now/Send Later question that Adium keeps asking all the time.

All protocols I use have no problem storing messages on server, so I can send them anytime.

Some protocols allow users to be 'invisible', and I'm being asked this question during regular conversation, even if I reply to user that has just sent me a message.

Is there possibillty to disable this requester?

No, but its behavior in Adium 0.8x leaves a lot to be desired.

Already, for 1.0, if the protocol supports offline messaging, your message is immediately sent. That's ICQ and Yahoo so far as I'm aware, am I missing any?

Also sending without prompting if you're responding to someone who just messaged you -- since presumably they are online but invisible -- would be a good idea. Please file a trac ticket requesting that enhancement.
The duck still burns.

You're missing Jabber, and I don't remember doing it for Yahoo when I initially implemented it.

Sending without prompting when someone just messaged you is definitely a good idea. Sounds like fun :)

icq, jabber and gadu-gadu all store messages offline.
