Saving chat configurations

Post by Artanis »

I need to chat via msn with some people at once very often. Every time I have to create the same chat and invite the same people.

So, is there something (for adium) that can save a chat configuration, like a shortcut or other?

i guess you/someone could write an applescript for it. I personally have no idea how to do it though.

Yeah, the thing is I'm not good with this scripts, I don't have time to really study the tutorials. I think it could be done as a menu in the "File".
Now in "File" there are "New chat" and "Join chat" (among others), maybe a "saved chat" or something like that could be added. Or something like the custom status editing area to create saved chat structures.

A feature like this is so profesional, it is simillar with the mail programs who store saved groups for multiple mail recepients and the instant messaging systems are very spread in the business environment too these days.

your best bet would be applescript. And if you can't find somebody to script it for you. you'll need to learn it (it's easy)

I really doubt we will see this feature anytime soon in adium... so i think it's best you go script it yourself :)
