no avatar at icq

hi! (i´m from germany, so my english isn´t that good...)
i have a problem: everytime i want to load up my new avatar at icq, my friends don´t see it. at msn it works without any problem, but whatever i try at icq, it still doesn´t work. can you help me?

ICQ doesnt support buddy icons AFAIK.

it actually does

but .. only ICQ 5 support them

my guess is currently not supported on adium (gaim)
