Changing the menu icon.

I downloade a Adium extra called "MSN Adium Messenger but the menu icon hasn't changed like I wanted. Can someone inform me on what to do to make it change?

First of all you'll need to download (rather than install) the xtra. Then open it, and in the folder "Menubar" there are some pictures (which will become the menubar). Then...

Control click on the Adium application icon and click on "Show Package Contents".

Navigate to Contents/Resources and replace all the files in the Resources folder with MSN menubar ones.

Are there any plans to make menu bar icons as easy to replace as message and contact styles, dock icons, etc? I don't try as many new ones as I'd like because it's such a hassle to switch back and forth. I wouldn't mind if the app had to be restarted for it to take effect.

That's really weird - I clicked on it earlier and it was about the menu bar icon, but just visiting now it's something entirely different.

I think it's a fine request, but shouldn't be in that ticket. Also, I'm still curious about how whoever it was that was going to implement it planned to do so before 2.0

Ahh, in that case I don't think it should be an Xtra. I do think that the status icon should be the entire menu icon. Pros/Cons?
