Renaming Files on Server?

Post by batkinz »

I never used to have this problem up until a recent upgrade of cyberduck but now whenever I log into my SFTP server it doesn't allow me to rename files uploaded to the server.... If i want to change the name, instead I have to rename it on my local disk and re-upload it. This is very frustrating. Is there an option to enable renaming, because I know that I can do it with other clients with no problem and I used to be able to on cyberduck.

why is remote file renaming via Info window not possible?!?!
That would be more intuitive, than the "finder methode" which I had to read about in a manual....

You can rename files using the Info panel.

Hy. I would not ask, if it works!

using Cyberduck 2.5.5 on 10.4.5 :
renaming via infobox not possible. file rights on server are 777, I can change the rights but not the name!

Try hitting enter after you rename the file in the infobox.
