0.89.1 Away Message Update Problems

Post by superpants312 »

For me, it seems that the away messages are either taking longer to update (tooltips AND info boxes, but tooltips sometimes only update when you open an info box) than usual since I updated to 0.89.1.

Is anyone else having these troubles?

Thanks! =)

I don't know if it's a problem... when using .89.1, it typically takes between 2-3 minutes to retrieve all the away messages in my buddy list (on AIM). I think it's been like that since the AIM rate limiting fix back in .84

Well since Vista isn't coming out until after the apocalypse, I think we're safe :P

My Adium 1.0 release prediction: When it's ready.

i had a similar problem yesterday with .89.1, i was setting "sleeping" status. and it wouldnt set on .Mac, it keep saying just "Away"... it was fine on the other services..it could be related to .mac/aim i guess.

Equal if not greater problems

Hey, I noticed that also. It most definitely IS slower picking up away messages, in .89.1 from .88, I was slow to update, so I must have missed original .89?? Oh well...I'm have some other basic stability problems with .89.1 also. As of right now, I can see what I'm typing in the text input box. Even worse is when occasionally, the sent and recieved messages just stop showing up.

has anyone else heard any issues to this effect?

Thanks,
Tenshi
