mail login

Post by aggo »

Hi, I'm new to Adium and did a search for this topic. I'm using Adium for my Yahoo account, and when I get an email notification and try to open mail, it doesn't take me directly to my Yahoo mail, I have to sign in. Any way to change this?

Also, would there be a "mail" button in the works for the interface to go directly to mail?

Thanks

Thanks, but that applescript opens Apple's Mail application to open mail. I want to be able to log in automatically to Yahoo mail in the browser.

You'd have to be already signed into Yahoo! Mail to automatically go into mail I'm guessing. Either way it sounds like something with the browser, not Adium.

I don't think it is possible for Adium to enter your username and password into the browser for you. Such access to a browser would be quite the security hole, don't you think?

It's not possible across applications (such as Adium -> Your Browser) but it is possible within an application. In a WebKit view you can access the DOM and fill the fields as needed, much the same way Autofill would.
Try my software!

#define ADIUMX pimp //by me
#define QUESTION ((2b) || (!2b))
