'Silent' error handling

Post by displaced »

Hi,

Would it be possible to extend the Events preferences so that certain errors can be completely ignored?

For example, I'd like it so that if I sign on at a different location, the original instance of Adium simply disconnects without producing the error dialog box. Also, in situations where I might not have a network connection, it'd be great if Adium could just silently remain in the Offline state without popping up an error message.

I'm no Cocoa coder, but I'll take a look at the code to see if I can hack this up for my own installation.

Any thoughts?
Cheers,

Chris

Nice idea.
I'd use it, I have 2 computers and often one disconnects the other.

File a trac ticket for it (http://trac.adiumx.com) and devs might implement it, if they think it's a good idea and feasible.
