v. 0.76 can't connect!

hey, i downloaded the new version 0.76 and now when i start up adium, it doesnt crash or anything, but it just stays in a state of "connecting" permanently. if i connect with other clients (ichat, msn) they connect fine.

so either i need to switch back to v. 0.74 (0.75 crashed a lot) or i need to fix this some other way.

anyone have a link to 0.74 so i can revert my version?

(i'm using 10.2.8 on a 500 mhz G3 indigo imac, 576mb of RAM)

You can always find an old version at the sourceforge project page, but it is generally discouraged, as we try to fix the problem first. The most likely cause of this is if you have recently installed a router or your network has changed. Otherwise, I'm not sure what kind of changes have been made since 0.74 that would cause this.

if its because of a network change, how do i get things working again?

You'll have to undo the change by opening up ports and the like. I really have very little knowledge of networking, so you'll have to count me out on this one. Maybe someone with some knowledge can help you out.

Also: there is probably a thread (or 50) about this sort of thing somewhere.

What service(s) are you using?

AIM and MSN, two of both. none will connect with 0.76
0.74 works fine though. i re-downloaded it.
