AIM/.Mac not working on home computer?

hey there

I use Adium at home and work and for some reason at home my AIM/.Mac buddies do not show up. at work they are fine. I'm figuring it must be something to do with my ISP but am not sure how to get around it. anyone got any suggestions?

Do the contacts show up if you use the official client?

no, it doesn't seem to work when I use iChat either.

Does http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp show you buddies?

Are you buddies all at work? What program are you using at work

I use Adium at both home and work. I have not seen my buddies online once whilst at home, and as this is over a period of weeks I have no doubt that it's a problem with my connection or whatever not just them not being online as they are always online.

When you say your buddies don't show up, if you show offline contacts do they show up? Or do they completely disapppear?

they are there as offline contacts, but they never appear online.
