Adium Swapping contacts icons

Post by Tipo 61 »

Lately in version .76, and in the .8 SVN, Adium has been switching around my contacts icons, so everyone in my list has someone elses icon. Any Ideas on why this is happening, or How I can fix it? Thanks in Advance.

I took a screen with 2 Adium devs, and as you can see, those are not the adium dev's icons, they belong to some of the other people on my contact list.

Heh, I've seen this too -- some poor girl I know from a seminar now has Evan's duck as her icon!

I had icons related to using multiple Adium users... Dave are/were you using those? Tipo, is it safe to assume you're seeing this bug without using that hidden feature?

I've had this icon switching thing happen to almost all my contacts, most are using iChat and AIM, not too may of them are on Adium. I just added those two devs, so some of you guys could see the icon switch, cause you guys probably have no idea what all my contacts icons are

Okay, so I deleted the 'Default folder in ~/Library/Application support/Adium 2.0/Users/, and it seems to have fixed it. I'll speak up if the problem comes back :P

Yup, I have several users... my regular set, my "oops, I got rate limited while testing Adium" set, and my set with .7x (unupdated) accounts, so that I can use older versions.

Actually, never mind, I forgot that since each user has separate caches now, that should no longer be an issue.

Hold option while Adium loads to access the users dialog.

It's mainly useful for devs, so that we can test Adium from a "fresh start." Or, in my case, to store old settings and newer ones separately.
