Saving chats...

Post by Thei9 »

I need to be able to save conversations in adium as a file I can store, as is possible in AIM.

How, if it's possible?

Thanks!

Other than logging, this is not currently available.

is there any difference between what he wants and log files? or does he want one file for many conversations?

It'd be handy to just be able to go "save chat" regardless of if logging is on, and without having to dig up the log file from inside ~/Library/. I have a general idea of how to implement it, along with some other cool stuff, but it requires stuff that I'm still figuring out how to do (which might fix copy&paste as well!).

Better cut&paste support would be great. I usually open up the log view if I want to copy the last few lines I've written in a chat, ever if it's still open.

Yeah, I don't see why "Save As" is in file if it's not usable.

How can I go in and manually get the log files?

Because nobody has hooked it up yet, that's why it doesn't work. It's harder for our setup than other things.

Look in ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2/Users/Default/Logs

At least, I think that's the path.
