Error in chat window.

Every time I type somthing and try to send it I get a "could not send: a connection error occured"

DOes anyone know how to fix this?

Oh and this only happens when I run Adium off the .dmg file. If I install it it wont even connect and comes up with

"Galm error. Connection error from notification server (messenger.hotmail.com):writing error

ive tried changing my proxy settings http and system wide http

but i still have the same problem

What version of Adium are you using?
Also, what version of Mac OS X are you using?

The latest adium 0.89.1

mac os x 10.4.7

I just downloaded the beta.

and that doesnt connect. well it says connecting but its been doing it for 10 minutes.

Are you talking about Microsoft messenger?

Cause it doesnt support my type of proxy. Amsn does work but when Im connected the app is really really really slow like it takes 40 seconds just to open preferences.

But when its not connnected its fine.

Adium is my last resort from e-messenger hahah
