Adding new contacts from a website

Post by bws950 »

I apologize if this can be found in another thread - I've looked for it, but didn't find anything. Anyway, I'm wondering if there's a way to set Adium so that, when I click on a link in thefacebook.com or some other online site to add someone to my contact list, it doesn't open AIM. The link reads

aim:goim?screenname=screenname with screenname being replaced by the actual screenname. All it displays in the page is the actual screenname. Anyone know what I'm talking about and, if so, know how to solve my problem? Thanks!

That link isn't for adding someone to your contact list, it's for sending a message. And Adium already has the ability to handle aim links. When I click on an aim:goim?screenname=SName link in thefacebook it opens up Adium and a new message is made, addressed to SName.
