My friends can't read my Away-messages

My friends can't read my Away-messages of iCQ , when a friend writes something, than adium returns automatically with my Away-message, but they cant read it by their selves is somebody out there who knows how to improve my situation , please write

what version of adium are you using?and make sure when you post an away message you aren't posting a status message instead.

actually I'm using Adium X 0.89.1 . how can I post an away-messag? because I don't know weather I'm posting all the time status-messages or Away-messages.

go to: Status > Custom... , select Away, check auto-reply, then check 'with a custom auto-reply message:', then a text field will show up, write your away-message.. and you're done :grin:
