Login Failed: No More Connection Allowed for this IP

Post by squanders »

I'm new to Cyberduck, not to FTP. I've been using Fire FTP (Firefox extension), to access my host, though. Anyways, to my problem.

I can connect to the site, and browse the files and such, but when I try and start a transfer this dialogue window pops up:

This is a private site, and if I try and re-enter my password, the same error message pops back up.

I looked at the "Common Problems" section in the Help menu of Cyberduck, and it did not help. I changed the max allowed connections to one, clicked the "force close connections" box, and it still did not work.

Also, is there some way to make the client automatically disconnect from a server after transfers are complete?

Sorry if these questions have been asked before, I searched the forum and found nothing.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi,

I'm experimenting the same problem. It's really frustrating, I haven't found how to fix it.

I can log in, browse a FTP server, but I can't download or upload files. Weird.

Anyone figured out what is the problem?

Thanks!

Transferring files by default opens a new connection to the server. It seems that your server does only allow one single connection to be opened. You have two options:

1) Before transferring files, disconnect the browser connection using the 'Disconnect' toolbar button (or menu Go... > Disconnect).
2) Open Cyberduck > Preferences. Select the 'Transfers' tab and choose 'Use Browser Connection' to transfer files.
