msn adium contact list problem.

Can anyone tell me how i get the people on my lists screen names to come up and not their email addesses. it also happens when i open a convo box. my screen name is the only one i can see. i thought i could do it by simply changing the settins on the 'contact name format' option but wat ever i click nothing happens.

From memory i think MSN shows Alias as the email address.
