i just started using adium (version 0.89.1) and i use to use AIM for mac. On AIM it would notify you whenever your buddy was typing, is there a way to enable that in adium? thanksss

ummmm it should be defualt, but in the chat window like at where there status icon is when ever they type it should turn to a pencil.

There are two built in "typing notificiations" in Adium. The first is the fact that the status icon (on the tab, and in the contact list) will turn into a "typing" icon. I'm not sure what the default status icon set is, so I can't tell you what it will look like, a pencil is likely.

The other is the name on the contact list will change color, if you have it set to do that. You can change these settings in Appearance, under preferences. The color changing of the contact list will be under your color theme settings. The status icon pack can be changed near the top of the window.
