Soundset Upload Issues

Post by Thrax »

I have developed a number of soundsets but unable to upload them. The response I am getting is to request approval but the there is no link for this that works.

Any pointer?

Regards

First of all have you submitted it? If so if you choose your extra from My Extras there should be a option to Request Approval. Your extra will then be looked at by someone to make sure it is not malware.

If I go to manage XTRA I can see in the bottom right some text which says:

Request Approval
N/A: You have not yet uploaded a binary file.

Even though I have uploaded a file. I assume this becomes a active link once a file is uploaded and I assume that the file is uploaded after you press the "Save All" button in the bottom left?

Still no luck

Post by Thrax »

I have tried many times and still have no luck uploading a soundset. The "Request Approval" link does not appear as a link just plain text.

Can anyone please help, this is getting frustrating now.

i had the same problem and just found a solution.
it seems it doesn't allow to upload big files, maybe >4Mb. I made a dock icon set of 4.1Mb and when i tried to send the file i got the same error, "N/A: You have not yet uploaded a binary file".
Well, if you reduce the size (i made 6 packs <1Mb) the upload works fine, and you can ask for request approval. I don't know why, the site should accept files smaller than 5MB... I hope someone from the Xtras site can fix it.

Hope this will help.

Can you test it with a smaller file?
