Not logged off when I login to another computer

Post by prock »

Here's what I'm doing:
-Connect from home (via VPN) to my work's Jabber server via Adium 0.89.1
-Login to the Jabber server once I get to work via Gaim (linux)

Sometimes I come home and find that Adium is still logged in and there are messages waiting for me that arrived at 2pm (when I was at work) that I should have responded to. Why isn't Adium logging off when I login at work?

Some services (such as the ones you are using) allow multiple location sign ons. There's nothing we can do about this. You need to sign off when you leave home.

I should add that if I'm connected with Gaim at work and then login when I get home Gaim logs me off and tells me: "You have been logged off as you have logged in on a different machine or device".
